Sharplink renders an Ethereum treasury as machined metal

Sharplink holds Ethereum for its shareholders, and none of that is physical. Studio Freight built the Ethereum treasury site as hardware anyway: brushed steel, a pick-and-place head, circuit boards moving down an assembly line. It took awwwards Site of the Day on 27 August 2026 with a 7.38, and creativity was the highest of its four marks at 7.50.

The subject is a Nasdaq-listed treasury vehicle trading under SBET. That category normally gets glass panels, a gradient and a chart. This one got a factory.

An Ethereum treasury site that looks like a machine shop

The homepage hero is a tight crop of a surface-mount line. Cold steel, shallow depth of field, one hard light blowing out along the edge of the rails. Over the render sit thin white rectangles and dotted leader lines: the overlay of an inspection camera picking out components and measuring them.

That overlay carries the argument. A treasury company sells custody, controls and verification. Drawing inspection boxes over a circuit board says measured and in tolerance before the copy says anything at all.

The Opportunity page pushes it further. Six nozzles hang over a board, and the part they are about to set down is the Ethereum octahedron, milled into the PCB next to the resistors. The whole idea of the site is in that one frame: the asset as a component you can pick up, place and check.

The logo gets machined

On About, the mark is the entire image. The octahedron splits into two matte white halves with a dark chamfer down each edge, floating on the navy gradient, boxed by the same white frames. Turning a brand mark into a solid object is an old move. What keeps this one from reading as a stock 3D render is what got left out: no reflection floor, no environment, no colour on the object.

Type stays out of the way

Two widths of one free family run the site. Archivo, the Omnibus-Type design on Google Fonts, sets the headlines at display size with tight leading, ranged left against a rail that holds in the same place on every page. Archivo Narrow takes everything small: nav, eyebrow labels, button text, uppercase and letterspaced. No headline reaches for a bold weight. That is the right call when the renders are this loud.

The colour is as tight. Black to navy behind, white type, one blue (#0e76ff) on the arrow chips and the chart lines, one red (#ff0e52) held back for a negative number. Under it, a 12-column grid on 28px gutters, capped at 1920.

The dashboard pays it off

The ETH Dashboard drops the renders and goes to near black. SBET at $8.88, ETH at $2,491, $58.33M average daily volume, $1.93B market cap, blue lines over black with dotted gridlines. Every render on the other pages makes a claim about precision. This page has to hold the claim up, and it does, because the numbers are live and dated instead of drawn.

That handoff is the part a judge rates. A lot of sites with this much CGI give you nothing to check afterwards. Sharplink spends four pages building a physical vocabulary for an asset with no body, then hands you the holdings on a page that looks like a terminal. Usability and content both scored 7.25, the lowest of the four marks, and that reads fair: the site is short, and the front door does most of the work. The front door still earns the award.
